According to police and witness accounts, Jordan Neely, a 30-year-old man who was homeless, died after being placed in a chokehold by 24-year-old Daniel Penny onboard an F train in Manhattan on May 1. Jordan Neely was reportedly acting erratically on the subway, but he had not become physically violent. Neely’s death was ruled a homicide by the city’s medical examiner. Increasingly, protesters are calling for US Marine veteran Daniel Penny to be apprehended. Multiple people were arrested during the New York City protests over the weekend and at the vigil Monday. | #GettyImagesNews
