El Cristo Negro de Otatitlán apareció flotando en el río Papaloapán. Se cree que el Cristo Negro sustituyó al Dios Azteca Yacatecuhtli. Se sabe de otros dos Cristo a Negros: uno en Chalma y el otro en Esquipulas, Guatemala.

Otatitlán tiene mucha historia y la arquitectura es encantadora. Sin duda debería ser Pueblo Mágico.
