A lurk command can be used by viewers to let the streamer know that they’re watching on the side, and won’t be active in the chat. The lurk command will typically thank the viewer for continuing to support the stream even when they are busy or unable to chat.

When creating the lurk command response you want to mention the user in the message. Mentioning the user will allow the bot to directly thank the specific user and ensure they see the message. It’s always a good idea to customize the lurk command to be unique from other channels and add a little personalization to your stream experience.
