Stiff boots may increase the knee loading. Reduce your knee injuries in skiing with this research; recorded at 50 frames/sec but played back at half speed. Scale: Net joint torques 1m = 200Nm. Forces 1m = 500N. Made using Fusion Motion Capture. For more information see my article in the Journal of Sports Technology. Joint torques are defined according to the right hand rule; light blue for eccentric, purple for isometric and dark blue for concentric action. External forces of gravity, ground reaction, wind drag and snow resistance shown, green if that force is acting to increase the athlete's speed.
