We are waiting to hear if the shops will be open for Christmas shopping here in the UK. What a strange year this is. Here's a look back to 1955 when streets were positivey thronged with happy shoppers!
Snow flakes drifted over London's Regent Street tell the story of the opening of the festive season. One particular attraction was a life like Chimpanzee band in a zoo on the Continent. Back in Britain and Christmas shopping, which has to be carried all the way home by the old man.
