Daniel Kleinman's unhinged UK launch spot for Microsoft's Xbox, an advert as uproarious and heavily regarded as art could possibly be, which in just fifty seconds explores an entire life lived unproductively. Despite numerous complaints ranging from the bereaved to a French filmmaker who had directed a short film also about rapid age progression the year prior, the former leading to its ban from broadcast, the ad would continue to run online and in cinemas (at a time when the ASA wasn't regulating cinema advertising), win several awards and earn recognition as one of Britain's greatest adverts.
