Final Cut Pro 10.6.5 just dropped, and one of the improvements was increased speed on export for Macs with Apple Silicon. So I decided to put that to the test! This is far from scientific, but it was fun to pull the data together. Hopefully this is helpful in deciding whether or not you should update before your next project.
