Recently LinkedIn has introduced a new feature known as LinkedIn Newsletter. It is quite possible many of your friends might have access to this feature but you don’t.

So in today’s video, we will discuss what is this LinkedIn Newsletter Feature and what criteria are analysed by LinkedIn to offer access to this feature.

So the first question might be, what is LinkedIn Newsletter?

The way physical or online newsletters are focused on a topic and on a specific time, similarly, you can consider LinkedIn Newsletter as a set of regularly published articles on a specific topic.

Linkedin community members can subscribe to this newsletter so whenever the author publishes a new article in a particular newsletter, they get a push, in-app or email notification.

So now let’s discuss do you have an access to LinkedIn Newsletter feature?

To know this answer my one question. Have you turned on the Creator Mode on LinkedIn?

This is very essential because LinkedIn is rolling out Creator Tool access with Creator Mode to all the members.

So it is quite possible that you don’t have access to it yet. So let’s check that as well.

If you are accessing your LinkedIn profile through desktop or laptop, visit your Creator Hub and check do you see the Creator Tools section there? If yes that means you have access to this feature.

Alternatively, you can visit the dashboard of your LinkedIn profile and if you see Creator mode there, turn it on. Because that is a basic requirement for newsletter access.

If you don’t see the option to turn on Creator Mode don’t worry and check it after a week. Because LinkedIn is slowly rolling out this feature to the entire community.

Now let’s talk about what other things LinkedIn will check to decide whether you should be given access to the Newsletter feature or not?

01 Audience Base: The first thing Linkedin will check is the number of followers or connections. And for the access to Newsletter feature the community member need to have a minimum of 150 followers/connections. If you have these many connections, you are clearing the first criteria of eligibility.

02 Recent share of original content: LinkedIn ensures the original content creator should get the benefit of this feature. So it will check, recently, have you created any original content like a post with text, image, video or article? If so you will be eligible.

If you are repeatedly sharing the content of someone else, it will not help you in this eligibility.

03 Linkedin will check do you follow Professional Community Policies? Whether you are a Page, Member or an admin of a page and if you are violating professional policies in that case you will not be eligible for this newsletter feature. Your good standing record for this policy is extremely necessary.

So when your Creator Mode is turned on and you are fulfilling these three criteria you will have access to this newsletter feature.

And quickly ensure you have access to the Newsletter feature so you can take full advantage of the same.

Good Luck.
