If your Volvo has an ETS light on in the dash, chances are, the ETM is going or has gone bad. About 80% of the time it is a bad internal part called the throttle position sensor. It is a potentiometer that wears out over time and causes the system to loose track of where the throttle opening actually is. You can have the throttle module replaced (which usually requires re-programming), send it out to be rebuilt (which cost several hundreds of dollars), or you can rebuild it with this magnetic system and possibly have it last forever.
I am pretty sure this works for all of the Volvo's with the ETM built between 1999 and 2002. Not sure about models after that. Thanks for watching, hope it helps.
