علمي ولا أدبي؟ │ في الحضارة
هل المواد العلمية فقط هي التي تفيد المجتمع؟ وهل يجب أن نكون جميعًا أطباء ومهندسين؟ أم أن المواد «الأدبية»، وهي العلوم الاجتماعية والإنسانيات، قد تكون مفيدة أيضًا بطريقة أخرى؟ ماذا يستفيد المجتمع من دراسة الأدب مثلًا أو النقد الفني أو الفلسفة؟ هل لهذه المواد تطبيقات مباشرة يمكن الاستفادة منها، أم أن دراستها تساعد في بناء طرق معينة في التفكير كما يدعي المدافعون عنها؟
