American Airlines FLAGSHIP FIRST CLASS to Los Angeles
This was the fourth of 9 flights I took as part of my 2024 USA trip, and my first time trying out American Airlines Flagship First Transcontinental service between New York and Los Angeles (and quite possibly my last, given American will be retiring the cabin in the next 12 months or so).
Come with me as I explore what I thought of my first visit to the exclusive Chelsea Lounge at JFK before the flight, as well as my first experience of Flagship First onboard this Airbus A321 aircraft, including the seat; the food; and, of course, the service on board, as I make my journey across to L.A.
Was it worth the 20,000 Avios (BA Frequent Flyer miles) that I used to upgrade the flight - approximately £160/$202/€192 based on a value of 0.8p per Avios.
