This is the metal sculpture I bought recently - here’s the video of me buying it: • Finding & Buying an Antique Metal Cat!
I said I was going to restore it, maybe even paint it. But over the last few weeks, I’ve discovered that this outdoor garden cat (metal sculpture) was originally made to be displayed indoors, not outdoors - I’ll show you how I know this.
Also, it’s not a cat like we might think. This isn’t any sort of moggy cat (domesticated cat) but it’s an exotic big cat. A Leopard or a Cheetah (more likely a Cheetah)
The metal is rusted badly in places, holes are appearing and areas are crumbling away. I’ll fix this easily and show you how. I’ll then rub the surface rust away with sandpaper to bring the raised spots to lice and then follow it up with a wax and buff up…ready to be displayed indoors!
