Will Metal Sonic make an appearance in Sonic the Hedgehog 3? There's a theory that he might show up in a post-credit scene, but I actually think he could be the main villain of the movie. Here’s why: In the trailer, Sonic teams up with Eggman to take down Shadow, but Eggman has one condition: he wants one of Sonic's quills. Eggman has used Sonic's quills to power his machines before, so this could be a big deal. The twist comes when we learn that Eggman’s grandfather, Gerald Robotnik—who created Shadow as the ultimate lifeform—is still alive. Gerald wants to replicate his work with Shadow but on a robot, and he needs a power source to do it. That’s where Eggman’s quill comes in. With the quill, Gerald could create Metal Sonic, this sets up the possibility that Metal Sonic could end up betraying Sonic towards the end of the movie. The storyline could lead to a team-up between Shadow and Sonic to defeat Metal Sonic. What do you think about this theory?
