Hello there! My vacation was nice in case any of you were wondering! Now that I'm back I'll try to get back into the swing of things ASAP. I'll have you know I actually brought my equipment with me on my trip to get some looping practice. Fun fact, Viva La Vida was actually the first song I ever transcribed for trumpet when I was a freshman in high school!
Anyways, I can only have a maximum of 8 audio tracks in ableton live lite, for this cover I used 7. 3 trumpets, 3 falsetto vocal lines, and the percussion/bass track. I made the percussion/bass track in FL Studio and simply placed it in a scene so that I could cue it whenever I wanted with a single click, so after I got all of my loops going, I simply cued the instrumental to come in with my vocals with a click. This was very fun, but it took a decent amount of practice, I don't know how often I'll do these types of covers, but they are very fun!
