As home studios shrink and audio processing improves, we must ask ourselves - do we really need all the hardware we’re used to using? Is it possible that digital modeling software can very closely replicate gear like pedals, rack effects, and amps? We decided to see how an entire guitar effect chain would sound using the Arturia FX Collection. In this demonstration, we run a D’angelico guitar using Logic’s stock amplifiers through 4 plugins found in the Arturia FX Collection - the Deluxe Memory Brigade, the Delay TAPE-201, the 1973 Pre-Amp, and the Rev Plate-140.
