TENSES (verb)
there are three main tenses :
1. present tense
2. past tense
3. future tense
PRESENT TENSE
PRESENT INDEFINITE TENSE
Usage. it is used:
1. To talk about a present action.
2. To talk about a habitual action.
3. To talk about a universal truth.
4. To talk about a scientific fact.
FORM= I, We, You, They, He She, It root form of verb , root form +'s 'or 'as'

PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE
usage=. To talk about an action that is going on at the time of speaking.
FORM= I, You , We ,They ,He ,She, It (is/ are/am)+present participle.
PRESENT PERFECT TENSE
Usage=it issued to talk about an action that has just been completed.
FORM= I , You, We , They, He ,She, It(has/have) +past participle

PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE
Usage= to express an action that began in past and has been in progress
FORM= I , You, We , They, He ,She, It (Have /have been )participle

PAST INDEFINITE TENSE
Usage=To talk about a past action.
to talk about a past habits .
FORM=I , You, We , They, He ,She, It second form of verb

PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE
Usage=it is talk about an action , which was in progress at some point of time before
the time of speaking .
FORM=I , You, We , They, He ,She, It (was /were = present participle )

PAST PERFECT TENSE
Usage=to talk about an action that was complete before a given moment in the past
FORM=I , You, We , They, He ,She, It (had +present participle

PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE
Usage = to talk about an action that began before a definite moment in the past
had continued up to that moment and was still in progress at that moment,
or had recently finished
FORM=I , You, We , They, He ,She, It (had been+ present participle)

FUTURE INDEFINITE TENSE
Usage=to talk about an action that will take place in future.
FORM= I , You, We , They, He ,She, It
shall+ root form of verb
will + root form of verb
FUTURE CONTINUOUS TENSE
Usage = to express an action that is almost certain to take place in the future.
FORM=I , You, We , They, He ,She, It
will be+ present participle
shall be +present participle
FUTURE PERFECT TENSE
Usage= =to talk about an action that was complete before a given moment in the future.
FORM= I , You, We , They, He ,She, It
will have+ past participle
shall have +past participle
FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE
usage= to talk about an action that began before a definite moment in the future will
continued up to that moment and will continue up still in progress even at that
FORM= I , You, We , They, He ,She, It
will have been + present participle
shall have been +present participle

MODALS
Modal are those auxiliary verb which express the mode or manner of the action
indicated by the main verb . they express modal such as ability , possibility , etc.
The following are modal auxiliary
Shall, Will, Should ,Would, can , could, ought to , need , dare ,might ,may , must , has to,
have to, had to ,will have to.

SUBJECT VERB CONCORD
A verb agrees with the subject in number and person . a singular takes a singular
verb and a plural subject takes a plural verb.
A. She is a good speaker.
B. They are a good speaker.

REPORTED SPEECH DIRECT AND INDIRECT
What is direct speech?
in a direct speech the speaker's own words are quoted without making any change .
For example = Ravi said ,"Mohit has gone to Delhi"
What is indirect speech ?
In an indirect speech , the essence of the speaker's words is given.
For example= Ravi said that Mohit had gone to Delhi
DETERMINERS
1. Determiners are words placed before noun or pronoun to decide or fix their meaning .
