Step 1: Click on 'show applications' at the bottom left, and then do a search for 'Software and Updates.' Click on it to open it.

Step 2: Under 'Ubuntu Software' Tab, Click on dropdown next to 'Ubuntu Software,' and then select 'Main Server.'

Step 3: Provide your Administrative Password, and then click on 'Authenticate' button. Click on 'close' button.

Step 4: Click on 'Reload' button. It will update cache.

Step 5: Now, again open 'software updater.' you will not get that error.
