В 2009 году в Поволжье,случилась очередная засуха.С наступлением лета пришла жара.Хвалынск тоже пострадал от жары и засухи. Высохло все: не только урожай фермеров , но и земля не могла долго сопротивляться, и появились глубокие и широкие трещины в земле.Трещины не только на дороге, но и в полях.
