I Wanna Debut is a monstrosity that I designed, and eventually, ended up vanquishing. This is by far the hardest thing I have ever accomplished in my life, this game has pushed me to my absolute limit, it truly felt at times that this wasn't possible, it shouldn't have been possible for a human.
I've pushed far and far in my life to get better at games, better at avoidance, and this is my crowning achievement, the avoidance is start to finish a brutal brutal onslaught for 3 straight minutes, with the end being the most climactic and difficult part of the avoidance, I believe I balanced the game very well but I also designed it around what I like playing, so that's going to be subjective.
Either way, I am finally done, debut is over, and my goal to keep pushing further has ended, I have finally got what I wanted, and it is time to move on. The grindset mindset that I have had for the last I dunno 10 or more years has allowed me to achieve some great things that I am proud of, but as a result of this, it eventually had started to negatively affect my life, and take over too much, I've been trying to stop feeding into this lifestyle for ages, and with me finally being satisfied now that debut is over, I am going to make changes and this is the end, I am retiring from pushing myself this far for videogame challenges again, this doesn't mean I'll never play something in a game that is challenging again but it means never going that far again, things will just be more chilled out from now on, and I'll probably focus more on making content.
I do firmly believe that this is the hardest avoidance ever beaten, while I didn't beat last tis I still think I played it enough to grasp an understanding of what that game really takes, and I just don't think it requires avoidance skill but more just a test of patience that you don't get bored. Debut has a far higher skill barrier to actually beat in my eyes, at the least it's a far more rewarding game as you feel like good play actually means something instead of waiting for luck in the last tis. Not that it matters anyway it's not a competition, I don't care if it is harder than last tis or not but I know people are going to bother and pester me to know, I'm just telling my personal experience with how it felt to me.
It feels a bit surreal, not really sure what to do since I'm letting go of the grindset now, but I'll figure it out.
Now more specifically on the avoidance itself, I would say I did probably get a bit unlucky with how many times I died at the end, it seems my nerves tended to often get the better of me and make me hesitate and make bad decisions. I originally made the game thinking it was around a bit harder than destruction state, since as the maker it is always really hard to judge the difficulty of something you make, that ended up being.... quite wrong lol. In a way I'm glad it ended up as hard as it was since it gave me what I wanted for ages. The hardest segment is by far the final climax, dying a total of 17 times to it before managing to pass it once, I spent the last 3 months trying to beat this game quite actively so it is one of the longest active grinds I've ever had and to not have it anymore is a strange experience.
Also I'm not finishing last tis btw, its trash and doesn't showcase actual avoidance skill which is what I care about, so don't expect that from me ever. For those who care about it I spent 126 hours, got five attempts to phase 5 and my best attempts was 10:44/11:04, so I got close but it's completely not worth finishing it, at the least I am the closest person to have ever gotten to the third clear I suppose, but that's where it's gonna stay.
Update: whoops
