Story line:
" I walked for a long time through the eerie autumn forest. I had a backpack on my shoulders and a basket in my hand, into which I planned to collect a lot of mushrooms. This time, going into the forest, I decided to deviate a little from the route and take a different path. This was my mistake, because I got lost. The forests in this region are very dense and vast. Tall pines obscured the sunlight with their tops, and rocky slopes complicated the route. I took a compass and map out of my backpack and tried to return to the place where I lost my bearings. I walked for a long time, it was very creepy, a light rain began to fall, which became stronger every minute. About 3 hours had already passed of my attempts to get out of the forest, but it was all in vain. It was getting dark in the forest, I started to panic, but I kept going. After another 10 minutes I saw a real miracle. At first I didn’t believe my eyes, but it turned out to be true. In the middle of the forest I saw a small wooden hut. The porch was decorated for Halloween, there was a table and chairs in the middle, lamps were burning on the table, and next to it there was a burning fireplace, near which a dog was sleeping. Goosebumps ran through my body with fear, but I understood that this was my only chance to find help in this huge forest. I was afraid to go onto the porch, because the dog looked very angry and it was clear that it was guarding the house. I started shouting: “Is there anyone in the house?! Hey people, good afternoon! Are you here?” At first no one opened it, but after a couple of minutes the door opened slightly, emitting a terrible creak, and an elderly man came out. He looked very normal and friendly. His wife followed him; she also looked like a rather pleasant woman. Their names were Joshua and Darcia. I told them what happened to me and asked for help. They listened to me carefully and offered to take me to the road that leads to the city. But since night was approaching, Joshua said that they could only do this tomorrow. Today I can stay overnight at their house. At first I was afraid, but I had no other choice, and I agreed. " To be continued...
