I have been having issues for months with encoder lag in OBS. It mainly seems to occur when I am recording. It doesn't matter if I am using the NVENC (New) encoding option or if I am using my CPU with (x264). No matter what encoder I am using I still get an encoder overload in OBS Studio.The solution that has helped me is to disable shadowplay while I am recording. I hope this video helps you guys out if you are having some of these same issues.
