Ryan Gosling Calls Eva Mendes His 'Hero'
Ryan Gosling is sending a special shoutout to his longtime leading lady. The Oscar nominee called partner Eva Mendes his "hero" in a new interview with Men's Health and explained how he makes sure she and their two daughters, Esmeralda, 9, and Amada, 8, are his top priority. Ryan, 43, may be one of Hollywood's most in-demand stars but the Oscar nominee shared that he believes it's his achievements at home that will ultimately matter to him most when he looks back on his life. "I often think about what's going to matter to me on my deathbed that I did and that I didn't do," he told the mag. "It puts things into perspective. It always comes back to family first. I don't think I'll regret anything professionally, but I do think when it comes to Eva [Mendes] and the girls, they come first." The couple is well known for being supportive of one another since they fell in love on the set of 2011's "The Place Beyond the Pines," with Eva cheering on the "Barbie" star throughout his blockbuster turn as Ken. And it seems another secret to their lasting love is a solid sense of humor! Eva also gave her stamp of approval to Ryan's Cuban accent in a recently viral "Saturday Night Live" sketch.
