In this video I’m going to show you How To Get A Live Word Counter In Google Docs In Chrome.
Since google docs doesn’t have a live word counter by default, we’re going to use a free chrome extension called WordCounter.
Head to the chrome web store and look for “word counter”. You’ll find the link in description below. Now install the extension.
Once installed, open a new google document or any existing one. Once you start typing, a floating bar will appear with current number of words in the present document. The floating bar will always be on the same line you’re typing in, which makes it pretty convenient to see.
To turn it off, just click on this calculator icon next to the search bar.
