Here's the story behind the Schaaf name:
I was probably 11 years old when I needed a cool username for the MSN messenger. I remember seeing a movie on TV called "Sniper - der Scharfschütze" which translated means "Sniper - the sharpshooter". Back in the day one of my aunts used to have a dog which was called Simba. They lived in the Austrian countryside and Simba was notoriously known for getting inside sheep enclosures whenever she wasn't watched. Like that she (the dog) had killed two sheep already. So this was my inspiration for calling myself:
"Simba - der Schaafschütze" on MSN messenger.
Schaf = sheep in German.
For whatever reason I thought I had to replace the "r" from Scharfschütze with another "a" instead of going with the grammatically correct "Schafschütze". That's how I ended up with Schaaf instead of Schaf. A couple of months later I got ICQ messenger where I shortened my nickname to "Schaafschütze" (probably written something like $ch@@f$chütze"). In 2003 I registered myself to a Counter-Strike messageboard/forum where I simply used "Schaaf". I sticked to that ever since.
