近年香港社會對長者照顧和福利的關注日益增加，但少數族裔長者的處境卻鮮少受到關注。根據2021年人口普查數據，目前香港有約2萬6千名65歲或以上的少數族裔長者。由於語言障礙和文化差異，他們及其照顧者在獲取必要的社會服務和支持方面面臨重重困難。74歲的尼泊爾裔長者Ratna Devi Pradhan便是這樣的一位少數族裔長者，亦是一名照顧者。
