ngl would recommend playing the metroid mod with no adventure map fully at least once before playing this

You should keep your starting pickaxe only to mine heart crystals and nothing else, you can remove it once you have 400 health. (They look nicer being on the ground ok)
Feel free to use almost any vanila terraria items you find in chests ect, definitely use torches, I would even recommend having some throwing weapons for torizo
However DO NOT USE any kind of item that would allow you to break the map or sequence break such as bombs, dynamite, rope, several of the potions such as gravity and water walking, ect
Magic Mirror and shield of cuthulhoo is fine to use

Sequence Breaking:

dont use vanilla terraria items to sequence only metroid mod items and techniques
Wall jumping, infinite bomb jumping, and boost ball jumping are not inteded and are considered sequence breaks as well as most other advanced techniques
however feel free to use them, your biggest road blocks are the bosses i'd love to see how much could be skipped whilst still beating the bosses. But play the map normally first lol

Demo things

If you go past the dungeon and the crimson on the surface you may get stuck as I havent done anything with those areas yet, better yet just go where Adam says
there will be a sign to tell you when the demos over so dont give up if you cant figure out where to go
technically you can go into the underground desert and ice at the end of the demo, i'll save you time, there is nothing there yet

Too difficult?

If you get lost you can consult the 100% maps to see where secret paths may be, I also included empty maps as if it was a real metroid game idk just wanted to do it
If your having a tough time with a boss try using the charge beam jump attack, its really op in this mod
If you still cant beat a boss, well, you should have everything if not more than you would have by that point if you were playing the metroid mod normally so I gotta say thats kind of a skill issue
