Russian Media Indicted by DOJ for Paying Influencers!
Russia has a sophisticated disinformation strategy, which includes funneling money to influencers - and the DOJ has stated there are hundreds more than the recent right wing influencers unveiled. To folks like myself, who have worked in online political media for years, this is no surprise. Personally I’ve had messaging campaigns targeting me with smears and even well-produced glossy videos that look like professional news, but were funded by foreign entities. This story will most likely get more wild.
