Fix Warhammer 40000 Darktide crash to desktop, fatal error, error code 0xc0000005, crash on startup, freezing & black screen on PC
Step 1) Restart computer
Step 2) Set Worker Threads to 1 in the game launcher, you can try different value, set it to 4/5/6 and then check, also try setting worker threads to 1 or 2 below your max thread
Step 3) Switch to Windowed or Borderless full screen, turn off DLSS, ray tracing, V sync, cap the FPS at 60, lower down graphics settings
Step 4) Switch to google DNS server 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4
Step 5) Avoid using special characters in the name, try removing space in the name
Step 6) Run game as an administrator
Step 7) Run in Windows 7 Compatibility Mode
Step 8) Delete the save game files (This will result in loss of game progress)
Step 9) Allow the game exe file to your antivirus program/Windows Security and Firewall
Step 10) Do a clean installation of graphics driver

Step 11) Roll back graphics driver
Step 12) Verify game files
Step 13) Disable Steam Overlay, close all the overlay apps (Discord, GeForce Experience, Nvidia shadow play overlay, AMD overlay), close all the overclocking application, perform clean boot
Step 14) Run the game on dedicated graphics card
Step 15) Increase the Virtual Memory:

Initial Size: 1.5 x Total Ram
Maximum Size: 3 X Total Ram

Step 18) Update your Windows
Step 19) Disconnect multiple monitors, unplug all the USB devices, Logitech wheel, joystick, Razer Tartarus gamepad, vjoy, Turn off Razer Synapse (razor lighting effects) and MSI Dragon Center, corsair software, end nahimic services & lightingservice.exe in task manager, remove the undervolt
Step 20) Update System BIOS
Step 21) Uninstall and reinstall the game to the different drive (Try SSD first)
