Donald Trump revokes John Bolton’s security detail
Former national security advisor John Bolton said US President Donald Trump’s decision to terminate his Secret Service detail “doesn’t surprise” him.
Donald Trump has terminated the secret service detail assigned to his former national security advisor John Bolton.
Mr Bolton required US protection after he began receiving a series of threats from Iran.
His security was revoked when he left the Trump administration in November 2019 but was reinstated in 2021 when Joe Biden took office.
“This is the mark of the character, or lack thereof of the man who’s now president,” he told Sky News Australia.
“I’ll leave it to the American people to conclude what motivated him.”
