I felt like I had to fit quite a few square pegs into round holes with this mix. Firstly, most of the beach themes in Mario Kart, including 64, have steel drums playing the melody, but I found that the SNES Koopa Beach melody doesn't lend itself very well to steel drums. Secondly, I wanted to extend the song, so I added a section from the beach theme from Super Circuit, but I found that these two songs don't mesh as well as I would have liked. Simply put, SNES Koopa Beach just feels really different from the other beach music in Mario Kart. Let me know if you think this mix works!
