Create a spring animation in Solidworks

In this tutorial, you will learn to create a Spring Animation using Solidworks software. Actual animation requires bodies requires Solidworks simulation. However, in order, to demonstrate a Spring Animation, an “in-context reference” modeling technique will be used to make Spring Animation in compression as well as extension state.
An easy way to make spring is to use sweep feature with path sketch as straight line that define height of spring. In Solidworks there are many ways to make a spring, but in this spring animation tutorial, we will use sweep feature with “Twist along path” option.
