For $79 the GoPro media mod adds two cold shoe mounts, a better mic, and the ability to plug in an external mic or send out an HDMI signal of the video feed. But it also makes the GoPro significantly bulkier, slows swapping batteries, and undermines the action cam's waterproof capabilities.
