The TOEFL iBT exam has recently changed.
In this video, we look at the changes made to the Writing section, specifically Task 2.
The new test does NOT have an essay component.
Instead, the new task asks for a paragraph as an online post in a discussion forum. The test taker needs to read the professor’s introduction and question, as well as the answers provided by two sample students. Then the writer needs to contribute to the discussion with a paragraph of at least 100 words. The writer has 10 minutes to complete the full task (reading and writing).
