I've had a number of requests for a Music Theory video covering Augmented 6th Chords. These chords are an interesting group. And, if you're not familiar with them, the Neapolitan chord is generally the cornerstone of this family of augmented sixths. Now, the Neapolitan, as well as, the other augmented sixths get applied in their first inversion - with the highest degree a minor 6th above the lowest note. This might not come across as all too sensible, but it is the acknowledged way of describing these chords.
