Gelombang panas mulai mempengaruhi kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat di Korea Selatan. Suhu di Seoul yang mencapai 39,6 derajat Celcius pada Rabu (1/8) merupakan yang tertinggi sejak 1907.

Kasus-kasus kematian terkait terjangan suhu panas telah meningkat di negara ini. Sebanyak 29 orang dilaporkan meninggal akibat penyakit yang berhubungan dengan panas.
