If you are planing to install glass tile, then there are a few things you need to know before you start your install. Glass tile is a very finicky type of tile to install, you will have problems if you don't adhere to the recommendations that are needed to have a successful install. For one thing, glass expands and contracts much more than a ceramic or porcelain tile, it is also difficult at times to get a clean cut. Glass will crack for no apparent reason, so the correct adhesives and setting materials must be used. Any glass tile with greater than 3"x3" is considered a large format glass tile which means that it is subject to even more stringent requirements to avoid cracking, and loose tiles. In this video I talk about what the requirements are to help ensure a successful glass tile installation.
