எச்சரிக்கை! கல்லீரல் பாதிப்பின் அறிகுறிகள்

There are many types of liver diseases that can be caused by infection, hereditary conditions, obesity, and misuse of alcohol. Over time, liver disease can lead to scarring and more serious complications. Early treatment can help heal the damage and prevent liver failure.

Your liver is the second largest organ in your body. The liver is a vital organ that performs hundreds of tasks related to metabolism, energy storage, and waste filtration. It helps you digest food, convert it into energy, and store the energy until you need it. It helps filter toxins from your bloodstream.

It sits on the right side under your rib cage and is about the size of a football. The liver separates nutrients and waste as they pass through your digestive system. It produces bile, which flushes toxins from your body and aids in digestion. Different types of liver diseases are caused by different causes. Liver disease can be caused by: viral infections, problems with your immune system, cancer, or hereditary diseases.

Some types of liver disease (including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease) rarely cause symptoms. For other conditions, the most common symptom is jaundice — a yellowing of your skin and the whites of your eyes. Jaundice occurs when your liver is unable to clear the substance bilirubin.

Dr.G.Bakthavathsalm, Chairman, KG Hospital, Coimbatore, explains liver problems and their causes, common symptoms, risk of common liver problems, and prevention of liver disease. Watch the video for more useful information and details about liver disease.
