Hey guys, today I have a 2007 BMW 328i and I just wanted to share a quick tip for anyone that is having trouble with a check engine light and codes P0171 or P0174. This often is caused by an internal engine vacuum leak that can not be detected using a smoke machine. The probelm may be a stuck open crankcase breather. On older model BMW this breather is located on the outside of the valve cover, but in 2006 BMW integrated this part into the valve cover, so it needs to be replaced as a whole.
