This virtual series features one designer showcasing a work that is personally meaningful. We'll hear what inspires, challenges and guides them. Expose yourself to new material by exploring with our guest, Adam Swift Lucas.
Adam Swift Lucas is a graphic designer, publisher, and educator. He runs Specific Ideas, a multidisciplinary creative practice which consists of two parts: the studio — a graphic design studio that seeks to create new structures for ideas through the meticulous arrangement of text and image; and the press — a small, independent publishing house that pursues a holistic creative process, providing care and consideration to the concept, design, typography, and production of each publication.
Currently, Adam is an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Kansas City Art Institute and one-half of NEW NEW NEW, an art and design initiative that he runs with his partner, Rachel Ferber.
