Every night here at the DNC a Republican has spoken in favor of Kamla Harris. And it’s not like they ran on stage yelled “I support Harris” into a microphone and ran off. So why did the DNC bring them here? Why do they want to be here? When will I stop asking rhetorical questions?
Republicans for Harris isn’t just a landing page on Harris’ website, but a real arm of the campaign. They have formally dedicated resources to republican outreach.
And for Republicans, I’m particularly interested in why they want to support a Democrat. Or not support Trump. Goeff Ducan the former Lt. Gov of Georiga who spoke here said “She is a steady hand and will bring the leadership to the White House that could never do Donald Trump”
Olivia Troye, a former senior Pence official said “You’re not voting for a Democrat. You’re voting for democracy”
