The Italian destroyer branch is largely looked down upon and - I think - misunderstood. I will try and explain what these ships excel at and why they do, starting with Tier V's Maestrale.

I love the Italian destroyer line because they're really good brawlers and cap contesters (and sub hunters, in the right situation). They're not very good at threatening capital ships and heavier units. As long as you go in to a game with a plan to focus on the right units, Maestrale here can be very good indeed. In this video I'll talk about how I build my Maestrale, why I fit her out that way, how I recommend playing her, and follow all of that up with a game demonstrating the ship in action.
Enjoy!
