Keeping your leatherwork knives sharp will not only help you with cleaner cuts and less frustration but a sharp knife is always much safer to work with as you use less force to cut.

This video goes over fixing a damaged leather working knife that you may have chipped and is in need of repair. This technique can be used on your skiving knives, round knives, japanese style knives.

There is so much I could go over when it comes to sharpening but this is a good place to start. Like anything, sharpening is a skill and with practice it becomes easier.
