Here is how to get the Necromancy of Thay which gives Forbidden Knowledge in Baldur's Gate 3. There's a lot of benefit to getting this, as it can give you a boost your wisdom checks. Later on, in act 3 there is a follow up to this quest, so I would recommend grabbing this book as it can lead to some future stuff. You can also get the quasit summon in this area and it is relatively easy to do. To open the Necromancy of Thay you will first need to find the dark amethyst in the well nearby in the Blighted Village. This is relatively easy to do so I recommend doing it before ending Act 1
