Doing a charity stream brings positivity in your community, because you're contributing into a campaign that you believe is worth supporting! Which is what I only use donation goals for! This video explains more in-depth on why I think donation goals should only be for charity :D

In my opinion, I don't think people should start a donation goal for their equipment, as many people in the Twitch community look down upon that. I believe it's the creator/streamer's job to provide a high quality mic, camera, table, everything for the stream setup. If people insist in donating you money, then you can accept it. I use the money from my community's subs, and bits into my stream equipment, because I believe it fits for all that. I rarely use it for emergencies, as I do work part-time, and currently live with my parents.

I hope you guys understand why I think donation goals should only be for charity, because making a donation goal on equipment will make you seem too needy, and I don't want people to look at you guys that way, when it comes to growing your streams. Though, as always, these are just my suggestions.

Charity streams have worked for me flawlessly, as we've raised over $1000 to St. Jude in just 4 charity streams on May of 2021! I hope to see you guys reach amazing success through charity streams :)
