The Yahoo! Finance API is slowly blocking access to its data. So, you my have got the "Will be right back... Thank you for your patience. Our engineers are working quickly to resolve the issue" error when you try to make an API call. Or, you may have gotten the "code": "Unauthorized", "description:", "Invalid Crumb" JSON response.
And you may have gone to Reddit or StackOverflow and when you tried to use this version:
https://query2.finance.yahoo.com/v10/..., you were told to try other versions like https://query2.finance.yahoo.com/v6/f....
Well, unfortunately, neither work anymore (or in March of 2024 they didn't). My workaround is to use the #yfinance #python library to get the current value and annual dividend information and then #webscrabe using #selenium to get the dividend and next payment date information.
