Just a few hours ago, miHoYo has officially announced Emilie and she will be released in 4.8. So in this video let's talk about what you can expect in this version.

By the way, developers has also officially announced the first half of the 4.8 banners. In the first half, we will get Clorinde and Alhaitham, along with the 4-star characters Sethos, Bennett, and Toma.

Version 4.7 will start in 2 days on June 5th. If you don't know, developers announce new character drip marketing 2 days before releasing a new update. Today, everyone was expecting Emilie's announcement, and as we can see, we finally got her drip marketing.

At first, we all thought there would be no new characters in update 4.8, just reruns. But the developers surprised us by announcing Emilie. She'll be a five-star Dendro character, releasing on July 17th.

Emilie owns a popular perfume shop in Fontaine. Based on the new voice line from Clorinde about her, this is not her main profession, which hints that she is a witch from Hexenzirkel.

By the way, she's the one with more concept art than any other character. There was a lot of concept art, ranging from short to tall females, but in the end, developers decided to choose this one. Personally, I prefer the one who has a stick in her left arm and is showing a peace sign with her right.

Anyway, she should be released in the first phase of 4.8.

Along with her, Navia and Wriothesley should rerun since neither of those two got their reruns in Fontaine. As for another character, we probably will see Shenhe since we didn't see her in the past 11 updates.

On top of that, we might see "Chronicled Wish" before Natlan's release, but it's not confirmed.

In update 4.8, releasing on July 17th, a new temporary summer location will be added. The island will include underwater exploration similar to Fontaine. The update will also introduce new mechanics for Pyro region of Natlan.

On the new island, players can expect to ride a dragon to explore and clear new areas, which will be nice for those who are saving for Natlan. We will also meet someone who shares details about Natlan. Additionally, there will be hints about Pyro Archon, possibly including her voice at the event's end, similar to Nahida's voice reveal in update 2.8.

We might be testing new Natlan mechanics with those Pokémon we saw in Natlan teaser.
It's possible we'll get 3 new skins in 4.8, most likely on Nilou, Wanderer, and Kirara.

Additionally, in July, Genshin will have a new collaboration with KFC. A few years ago, they collaborated with KFC, offering exclusive wings as a reward through a promo code. This collaboration was highly anticipated, and the wings are now owned by only a few players. The upcoming collaboration will feature Lynette and Lyney and might give players another chance to obtain some beautiful wings.
