If you've progressed a bit into your thai studies you might have already come across the somewhat complicated system for telling the time in thai. Don't worry, you will learn it eventually. In the meantime we will teach you the easiest way to tell the time in Thai, a system that everyone will understand since it is the same system that's being used on airports and on TV etc. all over Thailand.

Remember these words:
moong = o'clock (classifier for daytime)
naa-lí-gaa = clock; wristwatch; o'clock (when telling the time in formal situations)

Example sentences:

gìi moong lɛ́ɛo ? = What's the time?
sìp-sǎam naa-lí-gaa . = 1pm. (13:00)
