How to Install New Sound Effects in Final Cut Pro X
In today’s Final Cut Pro X tutorial I go over how we can easily and quickly install new sound effects into Final Cut Pro X
Sound effects and sound design are a very important part of video editing. Final Cut Pro X comes with a great variety of sound effects, but there may come a time when you want some new options. Independently of where you downloaded your new sound effects from, the process to always have them available inside Final Cut Pro X is the same
How to install new sound effects in Final Cut Pro X:
1. Download new sound effects
2. Locate where your newly downloaded sound effects are on your computer
3. Open a new tab on your finder by hitting Command T
4. Making sure the new tab is selected, head over to your local Macintosh HD drive. Select the drive, Library, audio, apple loops, apple, final cut pro sound effects
5. It is inside the final cut pro sound effects folder that you can drag and drop your new sound effects to always have them available inside Final Cut Pro X
6. I like to make a new folder inside of the final cut pro sound effects folder so it is easier to find my new sound effects once I am working inside Final Cut Pro X
7. Make sure to quit of of Final Cut Pro X and reopen to find your new sound effects in your library
