Decided to give the Ulveham Challenge a try, since it’s only a few more days until one of my favourite bands are performing in €urovision. As some may know, Kalandra have supported Gåte on tour around Norway a few years back.
And like many musicians around me have expressed; by Gåte entering the competition they’re shining a new light on the folk music scene and every alternative band hustling in the shadows. And much like spring itself… it’s a breath of fresh air 🌱🌻
This winter has been quite heavy in many ways, but the sound of nature blooming again, combined with folk songs, remind me to keep my chin up.
Oh, and if you’re in the scene and wonder who snatched up the Kravik lyre from Donald Mark Shaw.

It’s such a well crafted instrument, and I feel so honoured to be holding it in my hands.
