In this tutorial Big C shows you how to work with images inside Hit Film Express - the best available free video editor.

To add an image, select the image and drag it onto the timeline. Make sure the image is place above the video track, usually in video track 2. Trim the video by hovering over the left or right side of the image and dragging the handle.

To resize the image, click on the image and then hover over the rectangle at the corner of the image. When it is filled with blue, drag the handle in to decrease the size and out to increase the size.
